- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

- Support component using a jack.
- Secure component against falling off the jack.
- Removing the thrust field (all-wheel drive vehicle)

- Remove screws (arrows).
- Feed out the front underbody protection (1)
.NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Release the screws (2) to (4) .
- Remove the thrust field (1)

- Release all bolts (arrows).
- Guide out the underbody protection (1)
of the steering gear.NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Loosen screws (3) .
- Loosen screws (2) .
- Remove the front thrust field (1)

- Version A:
Release screws (3) and (4) .
Loosen screws (2) .
Remove the thrust field (1) .
- Version B:
Release screws (3) and (4) .
Loosen screws (2) .
Remove the thrust field (1) .
NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed. - Detach pressure hose.
- Pull off the pressure hose (1)
in arrow direction and set it aside.
- Loosen V-band clamp (1)

- Loosen nuts (1)
.
- Unlock and loosen clamp (1) .
- Feed out catalytic converter and remove.
