Installing the trim strip to the center of the trunk lid

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the tail light.
The use of chemical or mechanical cleaning agents can destroy the tail light (e.g. micro-cracks).

Do not use any chemical and mechanical cleaning agents.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Detents, guides and mounting elements must not be damaged or missing.

Replace trim strip (1) on the center of the trunk lid.
Parts: trim strip
Clean the bonding surfaces on the tail lights.
Remove the liner on the trim strip.
Install the trim strip (1) on the tailgate at the center and snap-in at the locks.
Press the trim strip (1) on the center of the trunk lid firmly at points (2).

Replace trim strip (1) on the center of the trunk lid.
Parts: trim strip
Clean the bonding surfaces on the trunk lid (middle) and with R2 solvent cleaner.
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Cleaning agent R2 500 ml 83190417324
Remove the liner on the trim strip.
Install the trim strip (1) at the center of the trunk lid and engage the detents (2).
Press trim strip (1) firmly onto the entire length of the tail light in the center of the tailgate.
