TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Mount the exhaust system in a de-energized state, following the tightening sequence from the rear silencer towards the exhaust manifold.

Preliminary work
WARNING:

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
CAUTION:
Component with heavy weight

- Note component's center of gravity.
- Support component using a jack.
- Secure component against falling off the jack.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
If installed: Removing the right rear torsion strut
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Driving without torsion strut is prohibited.

NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Release the screws and nut (arrows).
- Fold the cover (1) down slightly.
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Release the screws/nut (arrows).
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Guide out the left torsion strut (2) and remove.
- Loosen screws (3) .
- Guide out the right torsion strut (4) and remove.
- Version A:
Detach the ribbon clamp (1) .
- Variant B:
Release the V-ribbon clip (1) .
- Loosen nut (1) .
- Release the nut (1) on the rear axle support.
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Loosen nuts (2) .
- Lower the exhaust system (3) with the help of a support person and remove it.
