(Fastening the ground cable of the seat occupancy mat (CIS))

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Loose connection of the ground cable can result in fault memory entries and malfunctioning of the airbag. The steps described in the following must be followed.
Loose connection of the ground cable can result in fault memory entries and malfunctioning of the airbag. The steps described in the following must be followed.
- Insert the rivet nut (1) through the ground cable (2) into the seat mechanics (3).
- Fasten the rivet nut (1) using the standard tools (4) in such a way that the ground cable (2) can no longer be twisted.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The ground cable must not be twisted. - Check ground cable (1) for tight seat, possibly release rivet nut and insert new rivet nut.
- Check correct connection of the ground cable (1) to the seat mechanics (2) by measuring the resistance with the standard tools, possibly release rivet nut and insert new rivet nut.

- Guide the cable (3) for the seat occupancy mat (CIS) into the holders (arrows).
- Connect the connector (2) for the seat occupancy mat (CIS) and lock.
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
- Attach the cable (2) of the seat occupancy mat (CIS) to the connector locking (1) at the seat mechanics (3).
- Correctly insert and lock the connector housing in the sequence (1) to (4) into the connector housing (5).NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes.
Some parts may differ in certain details. - Secure cable tie (1).
