Removing and installing/replacing top cover on tail panel (X6 M)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove STORAGE COMPARTMENT IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT  at right
• Remove TRIM FROM D-PILLAR AT BOTTOM  at left and right
• Remove BATTERY COVER .

Removal: 

Release screws (1).

Remove trim panel (2) upwards out of clamps (3).

Installation: 

Latch trim panel (2) downwards into clamps (3).

Tighten down screws (1).

To avoid damaging the tailgate and cover, carefully close the tailgate and check correct seating.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install STORAGE COMPARTMENT IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT  at right
• Install TRIM ONTO D-PILLAR AT BOTTOM  at left and right
• Install the BATTERY COVER .
