Replacing rubber seal for rear left or right door window (X6 M)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Detach COVER FROM WINDOW FRAME .
- Remove COVER ON WINDOW FRAME (FRONT) .
- Remove COVER ON WINDOW FRAME (REAR) .
For Chrome Line Exterior trim and Shadow Line Exterior trim equipment only:
- Remove FRAME TRIM FROM REAR WINDOW FRAME .
IMPORTANT:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF RUBBER WINDOW SEAL are fundamental to this repair instructions and must absolutely be complied with.
Pull rubber window seal (1) out of window guides towards the sides.
Feed rubber window seal (1) into window frame from the top.
Installation note:
Coat rubber window seal (1) with APPROVED LUBRICANT before installing it from the side.
If necessary, retract door window glass approx. 50 mm into rubber window seal (1).
Open door window glass and simultaneously slide rubber window seal (1) downwards.
