The seat heating includes backrest heating and seat cushion heating.
The seat heating can be switched on separately for the driver's and front passenger seat as of terminal 15 On using the buttons in the control panel of the integrated automatic heating and air conditioning system (IHKA). The IHKA control unit processes the respective button signal. The IHKA control unit sends the button signal as a message to the corresponding seat module via K-CAN. According to the selected heating stage, the seat module generates a signal that is used to activate the seat heating. A temperature sensor monitors the seat heating. The temperature is integrated in the seat heating pad of the seat surface and connected to the seat module.
