Oxygen sensor emissions control EU6 DDE7

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2017 BMW X3, 2016 BMW X3, 2015 BMW X3, 2014 BMW X3, and 2013 BMW X3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

In order to comply with the more stringent exhaust-emission regulations of the EURO6 (EU6) standard, exhaust emissions control is implemented on vehicles with EURO6 by two oxygen sensors. The oxygen sensors are located in front of the oxidation catalytic converter and after the oxidation catalytic converter.

To reduce nitrogen oxide emissions further, an oxidation catalytic converter with a modified coating is used.
