Characteristic curve and setpoint values

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2017 BMW X3, 2016 BMW X3, 2015 BMW X3, 2014 BMW X3, and 2013 BMW X3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The exhaust back pressure information is sent to the engine control via a signal line. The signal for evaluation of the exhaust back pressure fluctuates depending on the pressure. The measuring range is from approx. 1.0 to 4.5 Volt. The measured exhaust back pressure is engine-specific.

Voltage range 4.9 to 5.1 V
Operating pressure 1.0 to 5.0 bar
Optional: 0.6 to 6.5 bar
Response time less than 5 ms
Maximum output current 15 mA
Temperature range -30 °C to 120 °C
