84 10 700 Removing and installing/replacing base plate

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT
Remove CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT

Release screw (1) and remove guide (2).

Release screw (1) and remove guide (2).

Remove base plate (3) upwards.

Installation note:

Make sure electrical routing is correct during installation of base plate.

Installation note:

Stop pad (1) on lower section of base plate must not be damaged or missing.

Installation note:

Preassemble stop pad (1) with punch (2) Ø 2.0 mm.
Coat mounting area with lubricant.
Insert stop pad (1) for base plate (3) towards direction of arrow.
