65 12 071 Removing and installing/replacing amplifier (HiFi)

IMPORTANT:

NOTE:
Comply with notes and notes on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES
.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Disconnect BATTERY EARTH LEAD
- Remove FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL on left
Removal:
Release screw (1).
Unlock and disconnect connector (2).
Disengage amplifier (3) upwards out of holder.
Installation:
NOTE:
Picture for example purposes.
NOTE:
Tabs (1) must be correctly inserted into guide (2).
Check amplifier (3) for secure fit.
Engage amplifier (3) downwards into holder.
Tighten down screw (1).
Connect connector (2) and lock.
Required reworking:
- Connect BATTERY EARTH LEAD
- Install FLAP IN LEFT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL
Replacement:
Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND ENCODING .

Necessary preliminary work:
- Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE
- Remove FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT PANEL ON LEFT
Release screw (1).
Detach amplifier (2) in direction of arrow from holder (3).
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Tabs at marked points must engage correctly in bracket.
Replacement:
Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND ENCODING .
