66 20 535 Removing and installing/replacing rear right ultrasonic sensor

Removal: 

NOTE: On version with cover:

Undo expanding rivet or screws (1).

Release nut (3).

Release screws (4).

Remove cover (2) downwards.

NOTE: Ultrasonic transducers (3) can be removed without the bumper panel being disassembled.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Release retaining tabs (2).

Pull ultrasonic sensor (3) out of bracket.

Installation: 

NOTE: Make sure rubber ring (1) is correctly seated on ultrasonic sensor (2).

Engage ultrasonic sensor (3) in bracket.

The retaining tabs (2) must lock correctly.

Connect the connector (1).

NOTE: Before installation of ultrasonic sensor (1) on wiring harness, clean plug connection!

NOTE: On version with cover:

Position cover (2) correctly.

Tighten screws (4).

Tighten the nut (3).

Fit expanding rivet or screws (1).

NOTE: Replace faulty expanding rivet (1) if necessary.
