16 19 090 Removing and installing/replacing SCR delivery module

IMPORTANT:
Ensure adequate ventilation in the workbay!
Avoid skin contact (wear gloves)!
Avoid eye contact (safety goggles)!
Urea/water mixture can escape when components carrying urea/water mixture are released. Have a collecting vessel ready.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

IMPORTANT:
Maintain conditions of absolute cleanliness.
Connections and covers of lines carrying urea/water mixture must be cleaned thoroughly with water after each removal or before each installation!
Thoroughly clean the working area with water after repair work.
Use fluff-free cloths for cleaning.
Close connections and lines!
Thoroughly clean special tool with water after each use.
Connections and covers of lines carrying urea/water mixture must be cleaned thoroughly with water after each removal or before each installation!

Necessary preliminary work:
- Draw off the SCR ACTIVE TANK .
- Remove REAR RIGHT UNDERBODY PANELLING .
- Remove rear right heat shield.
Removal:
Unlock snap fastener (1) and pull off feed line.
Disconnect plug connection (2).
Release the screws (1) and remove the SCR delivery module (2) through the bottom.
Installation:
Install the SCR delivery module (2).
Insert screws (1) and tighten.
Position the feed line and latch the snap fastener (1).
Connect plug connection (2).
NOTE:
Check correct engagement of snap fastener (1) by attempting to pull.
Required follow-up work:
- Fill the SCR RESERVOIR .
- Install the rear right underbody panelling.
- Remove rear right heat shield.
