61 71 100 Removing and installing/replacing windscreen washer pump

- Before replacing the windscreen washer pump, check the fluid reservoir for dirt contamination and clean if necessary!
Necessary preliminary work:
- Release fluid reservoir for windscreen washer system . See 61 71 061 REPLACING WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR FOR WINDSCREEN WASHER SYSTEM or 61 71 061 REPLACING WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR FOR WINDSCREEN WASHER SYSTEM and pull out.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
NOTE:
Catch any escaping washer fluid if necessary.
Detach hose (2) from windscreen washer pump (3).
Turn windscreen washer pump (3) if necessary and pull in direction of arrow out of fluid reservoir for windscreen washer system (4).
Installation note:
- Replace strainer for windscreen washer pump
- Coat sealing ring of windscreen washer pump with lubricant
- Lay hose pipe of windscreen washer pump without kinks
- Fill fluid reservoir
