Remove decorative strip on dashboard at center
- Unclip the decorative strip (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
at the clamps (2).
In the equipment version with ambient light, ensure that the fiber optic cable is not damaged with special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) .
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Release the wiring harness from holder (2) and detach the decorative strip.

- Release the decorative strip (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
at the clamps (2) and the pins (3) and pull it slightly away to the rear.
In the equipment version with ambient light, ensure that the fiber optic cable is not damaged with special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325).
- Unlock the crash hook (1) with a plastic wedge from the top and remove the decorative strip.
Unlock and disconnect any plug connections that are in place.
