- Mark and make the separating cuts on the new part in accordance with the separating cuts on the vehicle.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For additional information see: 41 00... REINFORCEMENT PLATE WITH STUD BOLT (BONDED OR WELDED) (X3) . - Prepare the reinforcement plates at separating cuts for the welded connection and the adhesive connection.
- At the separating cut (1) of the D-pillar, adjust reinforcement plate (2) together with new part.
- Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by welding.
- Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by bonding.
- Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by bonding.
- In the area (1), drill 10 bores with 0 4.2 mm for blind rivets.
- Remove new part and deburr holes.
