Adjusting headlights

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Notes on the headlight adjustment are a fundamental requirement for these repair instructions and must be complied with at all times.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

If applicable, remove the cover over the adjustment screws for the headlight adjustment.
Adjust the height at the adjustment screw (1).
US version: Only carry out lateral adjustment setting if the plug on the adjustment screw in the lateral adjustment is missing or damaged.
If applicable, remove the damaged plug (see additional information).
Set the correct lateral adjustment by turning the adjustment screw (2).

US version: If the lateral adjustment has been checked or corrected: Replace the plug and press it into the adjustment screw for the lateral adjustment without damaging the plug (see additional information).
If applicable, install cover over the adjustment screws for the headlight adjustment.
