Removing and installing/replacing switch cover on left or right front door trim panel (M4 Coupe, M4 Convertible)

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER ON DOOR HANDLE .

Use a suitable tool (1) to release latch mechanism (2) of switch cover (3) in direction of arrow.

Unclip switch cover (3) from door trim panel towards front/top.

Disconnect plug connection and remove switch cover (3).

Following parts must not be missing or damaged:

1. Catch
2. Retaining clips
3. Guides

Replacement: 

Remount or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING POWER WINDOW SWITCH (DRIVER'S SIDE) (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE) or REPLACING THE POWER WINDOWS REGULATOR ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE) .
