Determine the correct position of the rear spoiler
Positioning the rear spoiler
- Apply the adhesive tape strips (1)
according to dimensions (A)
to (C)
.
The center adhesive tape (1) corresponds to the center of the trunk lid.
Adhesive tape (1) must not be on the bonding surface of the rear spoiler.
- Mark dimensions (B) and (C) on the adhesive tape (1) :
Dimension (A) = 310 mm
Dimension (B) = 370 mm
Dimension (C) = 370 mm
- Check the rear spoiler.
Do not install rear spoilers with poor fitting accuracy.
A rear spoiler loosely placed on the tailgate must not protrude, especially at the corners.
- Transfer the mid-centring (1) via adhesive tape to the outer side of the rear spoiler.
- Place the rear spoiler (3)
on the trunk lid and align to the adhesive tape.
Check whether the rear spoiler (3) is centrally seated on the tailgate.
- Clean the bonding surface of the tailgate.CONSUMABLE DESCRIPTION
Cleaning agent R2 500 ml 83190417324 - Detach protective film (2)
on the bonding surface, align rear spoiler (3)
and stick it on the tailgate.
Press down with force on the rear spoiler (3) using the hands over the entire area, in particular at the edges.
NOTE: The adhesion of the adhesive tape builds up significantly via the contact pressure. Therefore, press thumbs or fingers over the entire area. - Remove the adhesive tape.
