Removing and installing/replacing lower oil sump section (S63T2) (X6 M)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove REINFORCEMENT PLATE .
• Drain ENGINE OIL .

Removal: 

Unlock plug connection (1) on oil level sensor and disconnect.

Release screws (2) along line.

Remove lower oil sump section (3).

Installation: 

When replacing oil sump bottom section: 

Convert oil level sensor.

Replace sealing ring.

Installation note: 

Clean sealing surfaces.

Replace gasket.

Replace screws.

Position lower oil sump section (3).

Tighten screws (2) along line.

Tightening torque 11 13 3AZ .

Connect plug connection (1) to oil-level sensor and lock in place.

Necessary follow-up tasks: 

• Install REINFORCEMENT PLATE .
• Top up ENGINE OIL .
