Removing and installing/replacing oil reservoir for hydraulic pump (X5 M)
WARNING:
DANGER OF POISONING IF OIL IS INGESTED/ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKINDANGER OF INJURY IF OIL COMES INTO CONTACT WITH EYES AND SKIN
WARNING:
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system. Seal off hydraulic lines with seal plugs.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from oil reservoir
- Remove left INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING and left holder
- Pull off vent pipe on COOLANT EXPANSION TANK
Unscrew nuts. Remove washer.
Installation note:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque 32 41 1AZ .
NOTE:
Raise and/or turn fluid reservoir in order to gain better access to plug connection and hoses.
If necessary, disconnect electrical connector on level switch.
Unfasten intake pipe (2) and radiator return pipe (3) on fluid reservoir (1) and pull off in direction of arrow.
Lift out oil reservoir (1).
Replacement:
If necessary, remove OIL LEVEL SENSOR .
After installation:
- If necessary, carry out START-UP WITH TEST RUN OF DYNAMIC DRIVE
- Check pipe connections for leaks
