Install right door sill trim panel

Installing the door sill trim panel 

Prerequisite 

The front and rear doors are open.

• If required, connect relevant connector.
  NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE 
  Mechanical effects. 
  Paint damage. 

  • Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
  • Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

• Guide the door sill trim panel (1) in carefully and position it.
• Clip in the door sill trim panel (1) on the clips (2) starting from the front.
• Tighten the screws (1) and the nut (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Side sill trim panel
  screw	Tightening torque  3 Nm
  Plastic nut	Tightening torque  2.6 Nm

• Check the clips (3) and the sealing rings for damage and replace if necessary.
• Clip the front wheel arch trim (2) onto the clips (3).
• Mount blind rivet (1) using the special tool 0 496 521 (00 2 230)  .

• Check the clips (2) and the sealing rings for damage and replace if necessary.
• Clip the rear wheel arch trim (1) onto the clips (2).

• Mount blind rivet (1) using the special tool 0 496 521 (00 2 230)  .
