Adjusting engine compartment lid catch
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Adjust striker (2) by turning nut (1).
Check
- Check gap dimensions between the hood and the headlights.
Check gap dimensions between the hood and the front ornamental grill.
Result
» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjust the striker.
Adjusting hood stop pads
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Screw in stop pads (1) fully until the pin (2) can be pulled out.
Pull pin (2) out approx. 5 mm.
- Slowly close the hood. Pin (2) will be pressed into stop pad (1) while doing so.
- Raise hood.
- Unscrew stop pad (1) until stop pad is flush with upper edge of pin (2).
Check
- Check gap dimensions between the hood and the headlights.
Check gap dimensions between the hood and the front ornamental grill.
Result
» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjust the striker.
