Detection of condensation

The condensation sensor detects the relative humidity in the area of the windscreen by means of wet measuring cells. Apart from this, the condensation sensor measures the air humidity on the inside of the windscreen.
The signals are evaluated in the condensation sensor's evaluation electronics. The data is transmitted across an internal data bus to the data interface (local interconnect network bus) to be transferred to the IHKA control unit.
If, for example, more than 65 % air humidity is measured on the windscreen, the IHKA control unit starts a program for avoiding condensation.
