Instrument panel

The instrument panel processes the information from the outside temperature sensor. From an ambient temperature below 3°C, the instrument panel sends a message via K-CAN to the corresponding control units. For the "Low" equipment specification it is sent to the front electronic module (FEM). The front electronic module (FEM) still controls the mirror heating electrically. For the "High" equipment specification it is sent to the front electronic module (FEM). The front electronic module (FEM) reports this to the electrical exterior mirrors via local interconnect network bus.
