51 16 041 Removing and installing/replacing cover cap on left or right exterior mirror

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove MIRROR GLASS FOR EXTERIOR MIRROR

Removal:

Version up to 04/2014:

NOTE: To facilitate disassembly of protective cap, fold exterior mirror inwards.

Unlock retaining tabs (1) from protective cap.

Pull protective cap off backwards.
