61 31 083 Removing and installing/replacing switch for unlocking tailgate

00 9 323

NOTE: Graphic similar!

Lever switch for tailgate unlocking (1) sideways out of A-pillar trim panel (2) using special tool 00 9 323 .

Disconnect associated plug connection and remove switch for unlocking rear lid (1).

Necessary preliminary work:

REMOVE LEFT FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL

Removal:

Release catches (1) on both sides.

Remove switch for rear lid unlocking (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Join switch for tailgate release (2) in direction of arrow.

NOTE: Ensure correct engagement of latch mechanism (1) on both sides.

Required follow-up work:

Install FRONT LEFT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
