Measuring a cylinder
Prerequisite
Cylinder path is cleaned.
Check
- Perform measurement on all cylinders.
- Adjusting measuring screw to nominal dimension of cylinder bore.

- Insert the internal measuring device into the micrometer and set it to zero.
- Measure the cylinder with the internal measuring device at the following points and check the deviations from the nominal dimension.
- Lower third of the cylinder bore in the driving direction
- Lower third of the cylinder bore transversely to the driving direction
- Middle third of the cylinder bore in the driving direction
- Middle third of the cylinder bore transversely to the driving direction
- Upper third of the cylinder bore in the driving direction
- Upper third of the cylinder bore transversely to the driving direction
Result
» Cylinder does not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Replace crankcase.
