Installing Trunk Lid
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid.

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
Installing the tailgate
NOTE:

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Position trunk lid on hinges on both sides.
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Trunk lid to the hinge Hexagon screw M8 Tightening torque 28 Nm - Feed in wiring harness at left and right tailgate frame.
- Fasten vehicle wiring harness at marked locations (arrows).
- Connect all connectors (arrows) of the wiring harness.
- Fasten vehicle wiring harness at marked locations (arrows).
- Feed rubber grommets (2) through outwards together with wiring harness.
- Connect connector (1) of wiring harness.
- Insert rubber grommets (1). While doing so, make sure that the installation is correct (water tightness).
- Fasten vehicle wiring harness at marked locations (arrows).
- Connect all connectors (arrows) of the wiring harness.
