Removing The Rear Left Side Panel
- Mark the separating cut (1) on the D-pillar according to the dimensions and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = 100 mm from the corner of the side panel.
- Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For additional information see: 41 00... SEPARATING CUT DETERMINATION WITH A TEMPLATE (X3) . - Determine position of the severance cut in addition to the dimensions with the aid of a template (1).
- Mark the separating cut (1) on the C-pillar according to the dimensions and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = 55 mm.
- Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.
- Mark the separating cut (1) on the door sill according to dimensions and disconnect. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension = 206 mm from the center point of the hole Ø 20 mm.

- Loosen welded connections in areas (2).
- Release the side panel from the cavity sealings (3).
- Open welded connections in area (1).
- Detach and remove the side panel from the cavity sealing (2).
