- Apply sealant D1 to cavity sealing (1).CONSUMABLE DESCRIPTION
Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985 - Install the new part and the reinforcement plates (2) and weld in the area (3).

Damaging the airbag
Kinking or bending the airbag may damage the airbag and result in a malfunction of the airbag.
Damaging the airbag
Kinking or bending the airbag may damage the airbag and result in a malfunction of the airbag.
- Handle airbag carefully and move it minimally by hand.
- Do not kink or bend the airbag.
- Open the hook and loop fastener (2) and remove the protective sleeve (1).
Check
- Check the airbag (1) in the area of the protective sleeve for damage.
Result
» The airbag is damaged.
Measure
- Replace the airbag.

- Replace the airbag.
- Clip the airbag (3) into place with the clamps (4).
- Tighten the screw (2) for the airbag (3).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Head airbag 8 Nm - Fasten the cable harness (1).
- Position the deformation element (2) and tighten screws (1).
