Remove right door lock
NOTE:

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING COVER ON DOOR HANDLE .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING SOUND INSULATION ON FRONT DOOR .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR .
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) on the door lock.
Disconnect the wiring harness (2) from the door lock.
NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical. - Unclip locking rod (1).
- Loosen screws (2) and (3).
- Feed the door lock out of the door.
Make sure that the seal of the door lock is not damaged during removal.
- Detach the Bowden cable (1).
- Detach the Bowden cable nipple (2).
