11 65 185 Removing and installing/renewing heat shield at bottom (N63O1)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove both exhaust turbochargers. See 11 65 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING EXHAUST TURBOCHARGER, LEFT, CYLINDERS 5-8 (N63O1)  and 11 65 025 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING EXHAUST TURBOCHARGER, RIGHT, CYLINDERS 1-4 (N63O1) .
• Remove both exhaust manifolds. See 18 40 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD (N63 B40/B44 O 1) and 18 40 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD (N63 B40/B44 O 1) .
• Remove ALTERNATOR .

Release vacuum line (1) from retaining clip (2).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 5AZ .

Remove heat shield (2) towards top.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 6AZ .

Remove heat shield (2).

Assemble engine.
