11 61 065 Removing and installing/replacing left intake plenum (S63T 0)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove the engine with front axle. See COMPLETELY REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE FRONT AXLE WITH ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION (S63T0, MANUAL GEARBOX) or COMPLETELY REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT AXLE WITH ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION (S63T0, DKG) .
• Remove left THROTTLE VALVE .

Disconnect plug connection (1) at servomotor for eccentric shaft (2).

Unclip wiring harness from clamps (1).

Disconnect plug connection (2).

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque: 13 62 2AZ  . See N63 SENSORS FOR CONTROL UNIT or S63TU SENSORS FOR CONTROL UNIT

Remove pressure sensor (4).

Installation note: 

Replace O-ring.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque: 11 61 1 AZ .

Remove intake plenum (2).

Installation note: 

Replace all sealing rings (1).

Observe mounting pin on the differentiated air intake system.

Assemble engine and vehicle.

Check air intake system for leaks with diagnosis system.

1. DME.
2. Air supply.
3. Charging pressure control.
4. (ATL) exhaust turbocharger procedure.
