Removing the rear window frame trim

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP FROM THE REAR DOOR .

Precondition

The side window glass must be completely open.

Loosen the rubber window seal (1) at the top of the window frame trim (2) .
Loosen and remove the window frame trim (2) using special tool 2 298 505 from the clamps (3) .
