Removing/replacing gear sensor

IMPORTANT: After installing the gear sensor, it is necessary to teach in the position of the gear sensor again.

The adjustment is performed using the "Service Function" of the BMW Diagnosis System (learn/write gear sensor).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Disconnect plug connection (1) of gear sensor.

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove gear sensor.

Installation:

Install gear sensor.

Tighten down screws (2).

Plug together plug connection (1) of gear sensor.

Part: Replace screws.

Tightening torque 23 14 1AZ .
