Replacing cross member for gearbox mounting (S55 engine)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION

Removal: 

Support transmission with hydraulic jack.

Release screws (1).

Unscrew nuts (2).

Remove cross member.

Installation: 

Install the cross member.

Insert nuts (2) and tighten.

Tightening torque: 22 32 4AZ .

Insert screws (1) and tighten.

Tightening torque: 22 32 3AZ .

Required reworking: 

• Install the rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
