General notes on BMW light-alloy wheel (M4 Coupe)

NOTE: BMW light-alloy wheels are sometimes difficult to differentiate visually from steel disc wheels.

Identifying features:

Label on BMW light-alloy wheel. (1) = Indication "Aluminium"
Wall thickness of rim dish: approx. 8 mm.
BMW light-alloy wheel is not magnetic.
The BMW light-alloy wheel can be identified by the part number, see BMW Parts Department.

IMPORTANT:

Use BMW approved, two-piece balance weights only.
Use specified tools only for mounting two-piece balance weights.
Do not align BMW light-alloy wheel, replace damaged BMW light-alloy wheel.
Notches in BMW light-alloy wheel can lead to cracking.
Do not lubricate wheel studs.
When fitting tires, do not damage BMW light-alloy wheel, e.g. through use of sharp-edged retaining claws on tire fitting machine.
