Removing and installing/replacing front anti-roll bar

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Release nut (1) of left and right screw fittings on anti-roll bar.

Release left and right anti-roll bar link (2) from anti-roll bar.

Release screws (1).

Remove bottom cover of steering assemblies (2) on left and right.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove anti-roll bar (2).

Installation: 

Replacement: 

Remove retaining brackets (1).

Detach rubber mount lower section (3) and upper section (2).

Replacement: 

Installation note: 

Keep retaining bracket (1), top part of the rubber mount (2), bottom part of the rubber mount (3) and anti-roll bar clean and free of oil and grease.

Insert the top part of the rubber mount (2) into the retaining bracket (1). In the process, the guide (4) must be correctly positioned on the opening (5).

Latch mechanisms on the bottom part of the rubber mount (3) must not be damaged and must rest on the intended recessed in the retaining bracket (1).

Replacement: 

Position rubber mount lower section (3) and upper section (2) on anti-roll bar.

Connect retaining bracket (1) to rubber mount.

Replacement: 

Ensure that the rubber mount parts are correctly seated on the limit position (1) of the anti-roll bar.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that the bottom part of the rubber mount latches correctly on both sides when fitting the anti-roll bar!
To avoid complaints about noise (such as groaning), set the vehicle on its wheels and tighten down the anti-roll bar mount to specified torque!

Position anti-roll bar (2).

Part  : Replace nuts (1).

Tighten down nuts (1).

Tightening torque 31 35 1AZ .

Position lower cover of left and right steering assemblies (2).

Tighten down screws (1).
