Removing and installing/replacing front left or right seat belt (Except M4 Convertible)
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove PANEL FOR DOOR POST .
Unclip cover (1).
Installation note:
Replace cover (1) after each disassembly.
Release screw (1).
Installation note:
Replace screw (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 2AZ .
Remove end fitting.
Installation note:
End fitting is coded against incorrect assembly.
Only F82 GTS with CFRP bucket seat:
Installation note:
Feed seat belt (1) in the marked area as shown through the front seat.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 4AZ .
Remove deflector bar (2).
Release screw (3).
Installation note:
Replace screw (3).
Tightening torque 72 11 3AZ .
Put seat belt guide loop with seat belt (4) away.
Basic version of seat belt:
Release screw (1).
Installation note:
Replace screw (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 1AZ .
Remove inertia reel mechanism (3).
Installation note:
The encoding (2) of the automatic reel must be positioned in the body recess.
Version REMA* seat belt/SA5AL Active Protection:
*REMA = reversible electromotive inertia reel
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 72 11 1AZ .
Remove automatic reel (3) and detach remaining plug connection.
Installation note:
The encoding (4) of the automatic reel (3) must be positioned in the body recess.
During replacement with version REMA seat belt/SA5AL Active Protection:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
Installation note:
Carry out FUNCTION CHECK .
