Remove tailgate trim panel, refer to 51 49 008 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (ENTIRE) TAILGATE TRIM (Z3 COUPE, M COUPE) .
Lift out actuating rods (1).
Unfasten screw (2) and remove lock cylinder (3).
