51 44 005 Removing and installing/replacing roof liner (Z3 Coupe, M Coupe): Notes

Remove entire ceiling light, refer to 63 31 000

Remove luggage compartment light, refer to 63 31 080

Remove both trim pieces for door pillar (B-pillar), refer to 51 43 150 Removing and installing/replacing panel for door pillar, left or right (Z3 coupe, M coupe) .

Remove both trim pieces for rear roof pillar (C-pillar), refer to 51 43 251 Removing and installing/replacing panel for roof pillar at rear (C-pillar), left or right (Z3 coupe, M coupe) .

Remove both sun visors and counter supports, refer to 51 16 080 Removing and installing/replacing sun visor and counter support on left or right (Z3 coupe, M coupe) .

Remove both speaker finishers for rear speakers, refer to 65 12 020 .

On version with HiFi system also:

Remove both speaker finishers for tweeters, refer to 65 13 100 .

NOTE: If the roof liner is only to be lowered, the windshield is not removed and only the A-pillar trim is removed.

Only when lowering roof liner:

Remove trim piece for front roof pillar (A -pillar), refer to 51 43 201 Removing and installing/replacing panel for roof pillar, front left or right (Z3 Roadster, M Roadster, Z3 Coupe, M Coupe)

Only when removing and installing/replacing roof liner:

Remove windshield, refer to 51 31 000 Removing and installing windshield (Z3 Roadster, M Roadster, Z3 Coupe, M Coupe) .

Lift out inserts (1).

Release screws (2) and remove finishers.

Unfasten screw (1) and remove left/right hanging hook (2).

Pull off trim (1) downward.
