23 12 056 Replacing Radial Seal For Output Flange (S5D 200G/ 250G): Installation:

Do not fit retaining plate.

Brace output flange with special tool 23 0 020.

Release collar nut with special tool 23 1 210.

Install collar nut with screw retaining compound.

Tightening torque, 23 21 1AZ. Refer to 23 21 TRANSMISSION SHAFTS .

Detach output flange with special tool 33 1150 from output shaft.

For transmissions from year of manufacture 01/99: heat output flange to approx. 80°C, e.g. with a hot air blower. Slide output flange onto the output shaft.

Remove radial seal with special tool 00 5 010.

Coat sealing lips of new radial seal with transmission oil.

Drive in radial seal flush with special tool 24 0 110.
