18 32 040 Removing And Installing/Replacing Catalytic Converter With Center Muffler (Z3 / S54)

Support catalytic converter with lifter.

Disconnect plug connections on both monitor sensors.

Release screw connection for temperature sensor.

Release screw connections (1) between exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.

Installation:

Check gaskets, replace if necessary.

Replace self-locking nuts.

Coat threads with -CRC- copper paste .

Release screw connections (1) between center muffler and rear mufflers.

Remove catalytic converter with center muffler towards bottom.

Installation:

Check gaskets, replace if necessary.

Replace self-locking nuts.

Coat threads with -CRC- copper paste .
