Replacing Solenoid Valve 1, 2 Or 3 (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R)

NOTE:
After completing work, top up ATF level. Check/top up fluid level in automatic transmission. See CHECKING/TOPPING UP FLUID LEVEL IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R / 310R)

Remove transmission oil sump. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING/SEALING OR REPLACING TRANSMISSION FLUID SUMP (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R) .
CAUTION:
Note position of wiring harness.
Disconnect plug from solenoid valve. Remove retaining spring and withdraw solenoid valve (1, 2 or 3). See Fig 1 . Upon installation: coat new solenoid valve with automatic transmission fluid.
