Replacing Pulse Generator (Turbine Speed) (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R)

After completing work, top up ATF level. Check/top up fluid level in automatic transmission. See CHECKING/TOPPING UP FLUID LEVEL IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R / 310R)

Remove transmission oil sump. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING/SEALING OR REPLACING TRANSMISSION FLUID SUMP (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R) .
Pull off plug (1). See Fig 1 . Release screw (2). Withdraw pulse generator (3). Upon installation, tighten screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Read out fault memory of EGS control unit. Check stored fault messages, eliminate faults and then clear fault memory.
