Removing & Installing Transmission Extension (A5S 325Z)

Remove heat shield (1). See Fig 1 .

Support transmission with Special Tool (00 2 030 / 24 5 301 / 24 5 304). See Fig 3 .

Release screws and remove cross-member (1). See Fig 4 . Upon installation, tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

Unfasten screws. See Fig 5 . Upon installation, replace self-locking nuts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

Grip propeller shaft and release nuts. See Fig 6 . Bend propeller shaft downwards at center mount (1), detach from transmission output flange and tie back to one side on underbody of vehicle. Upon installation, tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

Unfasten screws. See Fig 7 . Upon installation, tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

Remove transmission extension. Upon installation, install shim (1). Replace O-ring (2). See Fig 8 .

To install, reverse removal procedure.
