Right Axle Shaft Bearing Pedestal (E46 All Wheel Drive Vehicles): Removal

  1. Remove cross brace from front axle support. See REINFORCEMENT CROSS BRACE .
  2. Remove right axle shaft. See DRIVE AXLE SHAFTS (FRONT, ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES) .
  3. Release grounding strap on bearing pedestal. Release screws and remove bearing block (1). See Fig 1.
