54 12 497 Removing and installing / replacing wind deflector for glass sliding/tilting sunroof

Open glass sunroof lid.

Press down wind deflector (1).

Release screws (2).

Remove spring (3) on left/right and wind deflector (1).

Installation:

Tightening torque, 54 12 7AZ. Refer to SLIDE/TILT ROOF & CONVERTIBLE TOP - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 3-SERIES (E46) .

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty spring (1) and screw (2).
