36 12 084 Replacing Sealant Bottle Of M-Mobility System

NOTE:

Special Tools Required: 

NOTE: This operation describes how to replace the sealant bottle within the framework of inspection (M-Mobility system unused). The control head must also be replaced if the M-Mobility system has already been used.

Pull off sticker for warning V max (1). Omitted if M-Mobility system already used.

Lift cover (2) off control head.

Installation: 

Replace sticker for warning V max.

Replace shelf-life sticker on housing.

Make sure cover to control head is correctly positioned.

Release control head (1) with special tool 36 1 080.

Installation: 

Tighten down control head with special tool 36 1 080. Tightening torque, refer to 36 12 3AZ in STEERING AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT TIGHTENING TORQUE .

Withdraw control head (1) with sealant bottle (2) from housing. Unscrew control head (1) from sealant bottle (2).

Installation: 

Screw control head (1) onto sealant bottle (2) and tighten down with special tool 36 1 080.

Tightening torque, refer to 36 12 4AZ in STEERING AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT TIGHTENING TORQUE .

The control head must be replaced if the M-Mobility system has been used.

Installation: 

Check that housing seal (1) and seal for sealant bottle (2) in control head are correctly seated.

NOTE: Pay attention to expiry date (1) when installing a new sealant bottle. The expiry dates of the sealant bottle (1) and the shelf-life sticker (2) on the housing must be the same.

Make sure connecting leads and accessories are correctly stowed in storage compartment of housing.
